We are trying to better understand the capacity Lethbridge and area has to bring major productions to the area. HAVE YOU LOGGED ALL YOUR LIFS VOLUNTEER HOURS?
In an effort to understand, support and acknowledge our filmmaking community in and around Lethbridge one vital statistic we are trying to track is our cumulative volunteer hours over any given period of time. Volunteer hours come in many forms, from supporting events and workshops as assistants, to volunteering hours on local member-run film sets. This tracking allows us to improve our efficiency and utilisation of volunteer hours and can demonstrate to funding bodies that our community is worthy of support. More regular and robust volunteer hours lead to real world learning opportunities for our members and open up monetary returns for non-profit agencies [like LIFS] that are then re-invested in improved resources, programming, member benefits and community/industry growth.
